There are a number of web sites referencing the clay pipe industry in Europe. A selection of these sites is presented below.

Belgium: There is museum (and pipes for sale) about clay pipe manufacture in Andenelle, Belgium.

France: A site was noted that presented information about St. Quentin Poterie clay pipes

Germany: There is a strong research oriented society in Germany that publishes an excellent journal--KnasterKOPF--about the clay pipe industry

Netherlands: Several Netherlands sites include Don Duco's pipe page, and pijpenkabinet, the museum with the national pipecollection.

Norway: One interesting site was located that traced the history of a Norwegian pipe manufacturer.

Shipwrecks: There are also several references to pipes recovered from several shipwrecks, including the 1743 Gothëborg, the Kronan, and pipes found on the P.S. Lady Sherbrooke.
